Book Printing Update

These are exciting times! We have seen the first “press proof” of artist Barbara Buza’s book The Twelve Days of Christmas as Scene in Maine. The first proof looked almost perfect, and just a few minor corrections were needed. The second press proof copy arrived last night and we gave the printers the thumbs up to start production. We expect to have the book available by September 1st.

As mentioned in an earlier post, net sale proceeds from the book will be coming directly to Acadia Art Sanctuary. Please contact Barbara to pre-order your copy today! The retail price of the book is $22.95.

E-Book Fundraiser

The Twelve Days of Christmas as Scene in Maine by Barb Buza is available for purchase from Amazon as a Kindle e-book for $3.99. Net proceeds from the sale of the e-book will be used for the support of Acadia Art Sanctuary. This book contains 42 of Barb’s paintings and explores the legend of the origin of The 12 Days of Christmas with a State of Maine twist.

We are in the early stages of self-publishing a print edition of this 12 days of Christmas book. Net proceeds from (at least) this first printing with go directly to Acadia Art Sanctuary to support our effort to acquire a permanent location. We will be using the services of Maine Author’s Publishing in printing the book.

Now Accepting Donations

Acadia Art Sanctuary has received its license for charitable solicitations and can now accept donations in support of AAS. Our license number is ECO9016. The “Exempt Charitable Organization” license permits us to solicit and receive contributions up to $10,000 per year from Maine residents only. We will apply for a new charitable solicitations license as a “regular” Charitable Organization after we receive our IRS determination letter.
